Causeway Cycle Challenge
Just to let you and your club know that Bann Wheelers CC in Coleraine are organising a charity cycle ride in order to raise funds to enable the Coleraine Blind Centre to purchase several tandem bicycles to be used by their volunteers to take blind and partially sighted people cycling. This event, the Causeway Cycle Challenge, is being held on 26th July 2009, starting and finishing at Coleraine Rugby club. In order to encourage participation of cyclists of all abilities we are offering two routes, one at 30 miles and one at 60 miles. These routes will take in Coleraine, Ballymoney, Dervock, Bushmills, Ballycastle (60 mile route only), Bushmills, Portrush and Portstewart. Posters have been printed and you will see these appearing in shops, fitness centres, etc. over the next few days in the North Coast area.(I have attached one to this mail). Minimum donation in order to participate is £10. We are also encouraging participants to raise additional sponsorship. I have attached a sponsorship form for you to download and print off. I have hard copies of these forms also. If you want some let me know. We would like as many of our neighbouring club members as possible to support this event. Can you also encourage any leisure cyclists or mountain bikers you know to take part also. Maybe encourage work colleagues to put a team together to enter this. Details are also on our club website, www.bannwheelers.com , and sponsorship forms are available there to download also. Bann Wheelers CC would really appreciate any support your club can give to this event. Cheers, Derek McDonald Secretary Bann Wheelers CC
